Collection and Use of Information
Burning Rubber does not directly collect or store any information from users of the website. Burning Rubber does use secure third party services to obtain information for purposes such as sales, subscriptions, statistical analysis and comments as detailed below. We will never rent or sell your name, address, email address, credit card information or personal information to any third party without your permission.
Sales + Shipping
In order to purchase products or services from Burning Rubber, you will need to provide personal information including your name, address and credit card information. All sales are handled through PayPal's secure servers and information collected by PayPal will be used exclusively for billing and shipping purposes. E-mail + Subscriptions
Burning Rubber offers several ways to subscribe to content from the site. You may subscribe to automatic updates through RSS, which requires no personal information and is easy to cancel at any time. You may also elect to receive email updates from the website, or subscribe to our newsletter. If you choose to subscribe via email we will ask for a valid email address for the purpose of delivering content which you have requested. Email addresses provided to us will only be used for the subscription requested. All email from Burning Rubber will contain an unsubscribe link. Requests to be unsubscribed are processed automatically and immediately.
Comment Authentification
Users must create or login to an existing TypeKey account prior, or provide a valid email address before posting a comment to blog entries. Anonymous comments will not be accepted/published. Users who leave comments may include a web address if they desire to do so. Email addresses used to authenticate users who wish to comment on entries will neither be logged, stored or published.
Cookies
The Burning Rubber Weblog does not make use of cookies (small pieces of data that are sent to your browser from a Web server and stored on your hard drive.) We use an outside ad company to display ads on our site. These ads may contain cookies. We use Site Meter to analyze traffic data on our site. Site Meter does not link IP addresses to anything personally identifiable. Age Certification:
Some sections of Burning Rubber may require you to certify that you are at least 18 years old. All individuals under eighteen (18) years of age are strictly prohibited from using the services provided by Burning Rubber.
Disclosure
Except as described in this section, we will not sell, rent or disclose your personally identifying information to third parties without notifying you of our intent to share the information and giving you an opportunity to prevent your information from being shared.
We occasionally use other companies, agents or contractors to perform services necessary to our operations.
